Rupee Strengthens Amid US Dollar Weakness Ahead of RBI Decision
The Indian Rupee (INR) strengthened by 3 paise to 95.34 against the US Dollar (USD) in early trade on Tuesday, August 4th.
This gain was driven by broad-based weakness in the US Dollar Index and improving global risk sentiment, which outweighed dollar demand from importers.
Anil Kumar Bhansali, Head of Treasury at Finrex Treasury Advisors LLP, noted that lower oil prices and a softer US dollar contributed to the rupee's gain.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is set to announce its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decision on Wednesday, which will likely influence market sentiment and direction.
