Rupee Touches 3-Day High Amid Crude Price Fall
The Indian rupee continued its upward trend for the third consecutive session, closing at 95.88 against the US dollar on Tuesday.
This appreciation was driven by lower crude oil prices and easing tensions in West Asia, which supported the local currency.
However, despite these positive signals, the sustained outflow of foreign capital and selling pressure in domestic equity markets capped gains for the rupee.
The interbank foreign exchange saw the rupee open at 95.75 and reach an intraday high of 95.63 before settling at 95.88 against the US dollar, up 11 paise from its previous closing level.
