Rupee Touches 4-Day High as Equity Markets Boost Gains
The Indian rupee rose by 16 paise to 95.66 against the US dollar on Wednesday, marking its fourth consecutive day of gains.
Forex traders attributed this increase to hectic buying in domestic equity markets and lower global crude prices.
The Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, were trading 3.78 per cent higher but remained lower at $87.27 per barrel.
