Rupee Tumbles to 95.28 Amid Elevated Oil Prices and Treasury Yields
The Indian rupee has slipped to 95.28 against the US dollar as oil prices and Treasury yields remain elevated.
According to exchange data, the rupee began Friday in red, falling 6 paise from its previous close of 95.22.
Forex traders attribute the decline to dollar purchases by importers and profit-taking after the rupee's recent gains.
Amit Pabari, MD of CR Forex Advisors, warns that the rupee could remain vulnerable in the near term due to oil prices, the dollar, and US yields.
