RY Stock Price Edges Down Amid Mixed Momentum Signals
Royal Bank of Canada's (RY) stock is trading at C$297.05, slightly down from its previous price.
The bank reported a 25% increase in net income for Q2 2026, driven by lower credit loss provisions and bolstered by the pending receipt of approximately C$1 billion from the sale of its 50% stake in Moneris to Francisco Partners.
This will deliver a C$475 million after-tax gain. The bank also announced a dividend hike, share buyback, and expanded its brand exposure as the Official Bank Partner and Back-of-Kit Sponsor for Wrexham AFC in the 2026/27 season.
The stock is trading below its MA-20 of C$299.89 but above the MA-50 at C$297.03 and comfortably above the long-term MA-200 at C$246.
