S&P Global Leads $110 Million Funding Round for Crypto Data Provider Kaiko
Crypto data provider Kaiko has secured $110 million in funding from mainstream financial institutions. The round was led by S&P Global, with participation from BNP Paribas, Nasdaq, Royal Bank of Canada, Bpifrance, and Susquehanna.
The New York-based firm plans to use the capital to strengthen its data business and expand its product offering, which currently covers more than 150 exchanges and crypto protocols. Founded in France in 2014, Kaiko's investment reflects growing interest from mainstream financial institutions in digital asset markets and tokenization.
Cathy Clay, CEO of S&P Dow Jones Indices, commented that the investment underscores S&P Global's conviction in the acceleration of digital assets.
