Saskatchewan Jobs Growth Outpaces Rest of Canada
Saskatchewan's economy continues to outperform the rest of Canada, adding 2,600 jobs in August.
This growth bucked a national trend that saw employment decline by nearly 42,000 jobs across the country.
The province's unemployment rate was 6.0 per cent in August, the third-lowest among provinces and below the national rate of 6.4 per cent.
The private sector led job growth in Saskatchewan, with an increase of 18,200 jobs compared to August 2025, a 4.9 per cent year-over-year rise.
