Senna's Personal NSX Heads to Auction with Estimated Price Tag
The personal car of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna is up for auction. The Honda NSX, one of three received by Senna through an agreement with Honda, will be sold at RM Sotheby's The London Auction on October 31, 2026.
The car, which has a Formula Red color with a black roof and black leather interior, is estimated to sell between 500,000 to 800,000 pounds sterling. This translates to around Rp12.0 billion to Rp19 billion, assuming an exchange rate of 1 pound sterling to Rp24,000.
The NSX has significant historical value due to Senna's involvement in its development and his personal use of the car. In a 1992 documentary titled Ayrton Senna: Racing Is in My Blood, Senna is seen performing a back wheel spin in the NSX. He also used the car to travel to the Portuguese Grand Prix at the Estoril Circuit.
The car's history dates back to March 22, 1991, when it was first registered in Portugal. It has since changed hands several times and was even taken to Imola in 2019 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Senna's fatal accident.
