SET Index Jumps 11.90 Points Amid Eased US Interest Rate Concerns
The SET Index in Thailand rose by 11.90 points or 0.75% on Friday, closing at 1,588.82 points.
Kasikorn Securities noted that large-cap stocks, particularly DELTA and GULF, drove the market's positive movement during the morning session.
The Thai stock market was influenced by gains seen in international markets, which were trading sideways-up.
A key factor supporting the market was the easing of concerns over the direction of U.S. interest rates after a Federal Reserve Governor indicated support for maintaining rates at the upcoming September meeting.
