Shell Sets Q2 2026 Dividend Currency Equivalents for Global Shareholders
Shell plc has announced its euro and pound sterling cash equivalents for its second-quarter 2026 interim dividend. The dividend was originally declared at US$0.3906 per ordinary share, but shareholders who submitted valid currency elections by August 28 will receive the payment in one of three currencies: US dollars, euros (€0.3366), or pounds sterling (28.92p).
The conversions from US dollars were set using average market exchange rates from September 2 to 4. Shareholders who did not submit a valid election will be paid in the currency that corresponds with their registration: those registered through Euroclear Nederland will receive euros, while those on the UK register will get pounds sterling.
Shell reminds shareholders that different election deadlines may apply for those holding through banks or other intermediaries. The company advises investors to confirm applicable dates with their brokers. This announcement provides operational detail on the mechanics of dividend payments and highlights the administrative framework that supports Shell's large international investor community.
