Sika Posts Strong H1 Results, Ups Full-Year Sales Guidance
Sika, a leading supplier of specialty chemical products and systems, reported a 4.0% increase in local currency revenue for the first half of 2026. This growth was driven by an organic expansion of 2.9% and acquisition effects of 1.1%, with material margin expanding to 55.7% and EBITDA margin rising to 19.0%. The company's operational performance strengthened, prompting management to upgrade its full-year sales growth expectations from 1-4% to 3-6%
The implementation of the Fast Forward program is proceeding as planned, with targeted structural adjustments in China contributing to expected annual savings of CHF 80 million in 2026. Total annual savings from these initiatives are projected to reach CHF 150 to 200 million from 2028 onwards.
Sika's regional performance was uneven, with significant acceleration in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Sales in local currencies in the EMEA region surged by 7.7%, driven by strong momentum in Eastern Europe and double-digit growth in the Middle East infrastructure sector.
