Sika, the Swiss construction chemicals group, has managed to keep its profits above water in the first half of 2026 despite a challenging start to the year. The company's revenue from January through June declined by 1.5% compared to the same period in 2025, but growth was achieved on an organic basis, with Sika generating 2.9% more revenue than in the previous six months. This marks a turning point for the company, which had not grown organically since the third quarter of 2025.

The strong Swiss franc weighed heavily on Sika's revenue, reducing it by 5.5%. However, in local currencies, revenue grew by 4% due to acquisitions and organic growth. The company attributed its ability to maintain profit figures to efficiency programs, which helped reduce costs and boost profitability.

Sika has raised its revenue forecasts for the full year 2026, aiming to achieve growth of 3-6% in local currencies. However, it has also revised its profitability forecast downward, projecting a range of 19-19.5% compared to 19.5-20.0% previously.
