Silver Price Surges Near $67 Amid Dollar and Yield Decline
The price of silver (XAG/USD) has risen to near $67.00 during the Asian trading session on Tuesday, up 1.25% from its previous value.
This increase in silver's price is attributed to a decline in the US Dollar (USD) and United States Treasury Yields, which have fallen by 0.17% to near 4.77%.
As a non-yielding asset, silver tends to become more attractive when interest rates are low, making it a popular choice among investors seeking safe-haven assets.
TD Securities has predicted that the August Consumer Price Index (CPI) report will show core inflation contained, with core prices rising 0.19% month-over-month and 2.3% year-over-year.
