Six Suspects Arrested Over Counterfeit Euro Notes Worth €8,900 in Ibadan
The Oyo State Police Command has arrested six individuals suspected of producing and distributing counterfeit €100 euro notes in Ibadan, Nigeria.
The police recovered a total of 89 pieces of fake currency valued at €8,900 (approximately N14.15 million) after intercepting three men on a motorcycle during a township patrol on Tuesday evening.
The suspects allegedly led the police to the location where they purchased the counterfeit notes, and a forensic sweep of the premises revealed exhibits suspected to be used in producing the fake currency.
