Smaller EU Nations Outpace Large Economies Amid Rising Inflation
The European economy is experiencing mixed growth trends, with smaller countries showing faster expansion. According to Daniel Kral's analysis, several small European economies are reporting high growth rates. However, Germany, the UK, France, and Italy, the four largest European countries, are seeing slower growth of just 0.5 to 1.2 percent.
Kral notes that inflation is expected to rise further due to higher energy prices, posing challenges for the winter months. He previously highlighted Finland's strong performance, with the country experiencing fast growth despite high unemployment rates.
