Soil Brings First Compliant RWA Yield Protocol to XRP Ledger with RLUSD
Soil has launched what it calls the first compliant real-world asset-backed yield protocol on the XRP Ledger, enabling holders of RLUSD to earn fixed on-chain returns for the first time. The rollout adds yield functionality to Ripple's U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin at a moment when XRPL has moved ahead of Solana in tokenized asset value.
Through Soil's platform, holders of RLUSD can deposit tokens into on-chain vaults on XRPL that generate returns backed by private credit, tokenized Treasuries, and market-neutral hedging strategies. The protocol's initial $1 million in asset pools was filled in under 72 hours, which the team cited as evidence of demand for regulated yield products within the XRPL ecosystem.
'The stablecoin market's transition toward a multi-trillion-dollar ecosystem requires the right infrastructure to deliver institutional-grade yield at scale,' said Nick Motz, CEO of ORQO Group and CIO of Soil. By introducing yield vaults for RLUSD, Soil expands the token's use case beyond payments and settlement into RWA-backed income generation.
