Spain Tops Eurozone Inflation Rates Again
Spain's inflation rate has taken the lead among major euro economies for the second month in a row, reaching 3.9% in July, according to Eurostat.
This rate is three tenths more than the previous month and contrasts with the evolution recorded in other large eurozone countries.
In Italy, inflation decreased by one tenth to 2.9%, while Germany's inflation rose four tenths to 2.8%. France experienced a similar increase, closing July at 2.4%.
The European Union as a whole saw an annual inflation rate of 3%, one tenth more than in June and six tenths above the same period last year.
