The Spanish Public Treasury has successfully placed €6.043 billion in medium and long-term debt through an auction of state bonds and obligations, meeting its target.
The auction saw a solid demand for Spanish debt, with requests totaling €13.543 billion. The treasury issued four types of bonds: 5-year state bonds with a coupon of 2.60%, 7-year state obligations with a coupon of 3%, 10-year state obligations with a coupon of 3.40%, and 15-year state obligations linked to eurozone inflation with a coupon of 2.05%.
The treasury awarded €1.849 billion in 5-year bonds, €1.565 million in 7-year obligations, €1.9 billion in 10-year state obligations, and €727.9 million in 15-year indexed state obligations.
The auction comes after the first auction of August, where the treasury placed €6.215.5 billion in bills for six and twelve months, raising the yield offered to investors. The next auction will take place on August 11 with an auction of bills for three and nine months.
