Sri Lanka Rupee Gains Strength Against USD as CSE Rises
The Sri Lankan rupee strengthened against the US dollar in the spot market on August 28, closing at 327.98/328.04, up from 328.50/60 on Tuesday.
Bond yields also declined, with a bond maturing on December 15, 2029, quoted at 10.25/30 percent, down from 10.35/45 percent.
The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed higher, with the benchmark index moving up by 0.20 percent.
