Sri Lanka Rupee Hits New Low Amid Economic Uncertainty
The Sri Lankan rupee has continued its downward trend against the US dollar, closing at 328.30/60 on September 3, 2026.
Bond yields have also increased as a result of the economic uncertainty and inflationary pressures facing the country.
In response to these challenges, central banks are reassessing their communication strategies to better explain monetary policy objectives and how they will evolve in response to changing economic conditions.
