Sri Lanka's Rupee Strengthens Against US Dollar Amid Market Fluctuations
The Sri Lankan Rupee has gained further ground against the US Dollar in commercial banks across Sri Lanka, as of August 31. According to Seylan Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar remains unchanged at Rs. 323.75, while the selling rate is steady at Rs. 333.00.
NDB Bank reported a slight decrease in the buying rate from Rs. 323.50 to Rs. 323.30, along with a corresponding drop in the selling rate from Rs. 332.50 to Rs. 332.30.
People's Bank also witnessed a decline in both the buying and selling rates, decreasing from Rs. 323.96 to Rs. 323.86 and Rs. 331.99 to Rs. 331.89 respectively.
