Srikkanth Urges Team Management to Reconsider Ravindra Jadeja for 2027 ODI World Cup

Former Indian captain Kris Srikkanth has called on the team management to consider veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The 37-year-old has been out of favor in recent months, missing India's last two ODI series against Afghanistan and England.

Jadeja had a disappointing performance in his last outing against New Zealand, failing to pick up any wickets with an economy rate above six. However, Srikkanth pointed out that Jadeja has been one of India's key players in the 50-over format over the past decade and his exclusion is surprising.

The former captain believes that India will need three spin-bowling options for the World Cup and thinks Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav are certainties. He, however, ruled out all-rounder Washington Sundar as a third spinning option due to his mediocre ODI record.
