Stars Unite for Breast Screening in Cook Islands
Over 200 women from the Cook Islands' outer islands are in need of mammograms to detect breast cancer. However, the cost of air travel is a significant barrier for many. To address this issue, the Cook Islands Breast Cancer Foundation's inaugural Beehive Ball will be held at New Zealand Parliament's Banquet Hall on August 8.
The event promises to be an unforgettable evening of music, laughter, and culture, with a star-studded lineup of performers, including Dame Lynda Topp in conversation with Moana Maniapoto. Other notable guests include The Lady Killers, Aotea Kura's Cook Islands cultural group, and comedian Orin Ruaine-Prattley.
The evening will also feature a live auction and raffles with exceptional prizes donated by supporters of the Foundation, including luxury travel packages, exclusive dining experiences, and artwork. Every dollar raised will help women from the outer islands access life-saving breast screening.
