StatsCan Releases Early Q2 Economic Data
Statistics Canada is set to release its first estimate of second-quarter economic performance. The agency will report on real gross domestic product (GDP) results for May and provide a flash estimate for June.
Last month, Statistics Canada's early indications pointed to a 0.1 per cent rise in real GDP for May, a slowdown from the 0.5 per cent advance in April.
The May and early June results will give an initial look at where the economy ended up in the second quarter after two consecutive quarterly declines in real GDP.
