Swiss Alps to Host Luxurious Underground Vault System for Ultra-Rich
A luxurious underground vault system is being built in the Swiss Alps to cater to the ultra-rich. The project, led by Brünig Mega Safe AG, will offer secure storage for priceless art, gold, vintage Ferraris, and expensive wine. Each private vault will be buried under more than 100 meters of solid rock, providing a natural fortress against potential threats.
The complex will have about 20 private vaults, with security comparable to that of the Swiss National Bank. However, getting in won't come cheap, prices start at nearly $1.23 million for a 99-year lease. The developers claim that the advantage is that clients become owners, with their own parcel number in the land register and the ability to mortgage the property.
The project has drawn mixed reactions from residents of the nearby village of Lungern. Some questioned why they need luxury bunkers for billionaires, while others were more receptive, joking about seeing Ferraris belonging to new neighbors racing on surrounding Alpine roads.
