Swiss Economy Sees Continued Improvement with Rising KOF Barometer
The KOF Economic Barometer for Switzerland has improved again in July, rising by 1.4 points to 103.5. This marks a continuation of the positive trend seen since the beginning of the year, with the barometer remaining above its medium-term average.
Financial and insurance services, as well as other services and construction industry indicators, all reflect this improvement in outlook for the Swiss economy.
The Bank of Canada's recent rate decision saw some uncertainty among its governing council members over the sustainability of the economic rebound. Despite holding interest rates steady at 2.25%, some members called for a hike.
