Swiss Franc Stablecoin CHFD Enters Live Testing with SIX and TWINT
A Swiss franc stablecoin called CHFD has entered live testing with financial market operator SIX and payments giant TWINT joining seven existing participants, expanding the consortium to nine institutions.
The testing phase is built around three practical scenarios: automated transactions between financial institutions, tokenized asset settlement, and programmable payments. The latter extends into e-commerce, ticketing, and public-sector disbursements.
CHFD has technically operated inside a controlled sandbox since late June, with the broader initiative launched in April 2026. Testing is expected to run through the end of 2026 under transaction caps and participant limits.
