The Swiss Producer and Import Price Index rose by 0.7% in August compared to July, reaching 100.4 points (December 2025 = 100). The increase is attributed to higher prices for petroleum products, chemical products, and petroleum and natural gas.
The Producer Price Index saw a significant rise due to increased costs for pharmaceutical preparations and other goods. In contrast, the Import Price Index fell by 0.7% compared to August 2025.
