Swiss Stablecoin CHFD Enters Live Testing with SIX and TWINT

A Swiss industry initiative has entered a live testing phase for its CHFD stablecoin, which is pegged to the Swiss franc. The project, which aims to support Switzerland's digital money ecosystem and financial centre competitiveness, was first announced in June when it began technical sandbox availability. Since then, SIX and TWINT have joined UBS, PostFinance, Sygnum, Raiffeisen, ZKB, and BCV as partners.

The CHFD stablecoin is designed to maintain a 1:1 peg with the Swiss franc, making it a reliable store of value for users. The testing phase will assess potential uses for CHFD rather than announcing a commercial launch, with the next milestone being the outcome of these live tests.
