Swiss stocks rose slightly on Friday as the KOF Economic Barometer signaled a more optimistic outlook for the country's economy. The KOF, a survey-based indicator of near-term momentum, increased to 106.7 in August from 104.2 in July, surpassing its long-run average.

The Institute noted strength in manufacturing, services, and foreign demand, but cautioned that private consumption is under pressure, indicating the growth may not be broad-based.

On the company front, Compagnie Financière Tradition jumped 6.78% after its first-half revenue rose to 597.8 million Swiss francs from 580.1 million, with profit attributable to shareholders increasing to 79.1 million from 70.2 million.
