Switzerland Approves 3.4 Billion Franc Budget for Armed Forces Modernization
Parliament in Switzerland has approved a significant increase in funding for the country's armed forces, approving a budget of approximately 3.4 billion Swiss francs. The funds will be used for various purposes, including procurement of new F-35 fighter jets, real estate projects, and ammunition for air defense systems.

Defense Minister Martin Pfister has assured that the Federal Council will issue a statement on the matter 'very soon' and that the criticism contained in a recent report would provide a good basis for improvements to procedures within the Department of Defense.
