Tchir Sees Limited Risk for Warsh in Bond Market
Peter Tchir, head of macro strategy at Academy Securities, weighed in on the US Treasury market ahead of Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium. According to Tchir, he doesn't think this is a 'bond vigilante thing,' but rather an issue of supply and demand.
Tchir expressed his view that Warsh has limited risk of losing control of bonds. This statement comes ahead of Warsh's first speech at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium on August 28, 2026.
