Tenge and Ruble Soar to New Heights as Euro Falls
The Kazakh tenge has reached its highest value against the Kyrgyz som in a year, for the second consecutive time. According to data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange offices in Bishkek, the ruble is also rising.
The official rate of the Russian ruble against the som increased by 0.6 percent, setting a new monthly high. The average buying price was reported at 1.0362 soms and selling at 1.045 soms.
In contrast, the euro depreciated slightly, with an official rate decrease of 0.33 percent to 101.4376 soms. Meanwhile, the US dollar saw no changes in its exchange rates, remaining stable at an average buying price of 87.41 soms and selling at 87.8 soms.
