Thai Baht Stabilizes Around 33-Baht Range
The Thai baht has returned to its familiar comfort zone, with Kasikornbank forecasting that it will trade between 33.00 and 33.80 baht per US dollar during August 3-7, 2026.
This stability offers a more predictable exchange environment for foreign visitors and businesses, which is likely to continue given the currency's recent trend.
The baht strengthened last week in line with other Asian currencies and rising global gold prices, while the US dollar faced selling pressure due to reports of paused retaliatory attacks between the United States and Iran.
The US Federal Reserve meeting also had an impact on the currency market, as policymakers kept interest rates unchanged at 3.50-3.75%, signaling that rate increases may not be the immediate solution to inflation risks.
