Tice Slams BOE Quantitative Tightening Policy
Richard Tice, a well-known figure in finance and economics, has spoken out against the Bank of England's quantitative tightening policy, which he claims has cost taxpayers nearly £50 billion since early 2024.
Tice is calling for an immediate halt to further quantitative tightening, citing concerns that the policy benefits bond traders at the expense of ordinary people.
He also raised concerns about other economic policies in recent months, including rent reforms and net zero grid upgrades, which he believes could lead to supply shortages and higher energy bills.
