Tinubu Sends High-Powered Delegation to NDIEC in Canada
Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a high-powered delegation to attend the maiden Nigeria Diaspora Investment Economic Conference (NDIEC) in Toronto, Canada. The conference, scheduled for August 12-15, 2026, aims to boost trade and investment between Nigeria and Canada.
The Nigerian delegation will be led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and includes several ministers, governors, and other high-ranking officials from the Central Bank of Nigeria and Customs Service. The event is organized in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa, the Canadian High Commission in Abuja, and other local and international stakeholders.
The conference will focus on high-impact sectors critical to Nigeria's economic growth and long-term development, including discussions on investment opportunities across various sectors of the Nigerian economy. The event aims to connect investors with investment-ready projects in Nigeria and strengthen bilateral economic relations between both countries.
