Tinubu Sends High-Powered Delegation to Toronto Conference
President Bola Tinubu has approved a delegation to represent Nigeria at the maiden Nigeria Diaspora Investment Economic Conference in Toronto, Canada. The conference, themed 'Invest Nigeria, Thrive Abroad,' is scheduled to take place from August 12 to 15.
The delegation includes Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, as well as five state governors: Babagana Zulum (Borno), Chukwuma Soludo (Anambra), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara).
The conference aims to promote economic partnerships between Nigeria and its diaspora community, with a focus on sectors such as agriculture, technology, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and the digital economy.
Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Chairman Abike Dabiri-Erewa described the event as 'an outcome-driven investment platform' designed to connect international investors with 'investment-ready' opportunities across key sectors of Nigeria's economy.
