Tom Lee Predicts 2027 Will Be One Of Stock Market's Best Years
BMNR chairman Tom Lee predicted that 2027 will be one of the 'best years' for the stock market, citing the removal of uncertainty from two major sources. The SpaceX unlock and the transition to a new Federal Reserve chairman are no longer concerns, according to Lee. He stated that last week's liquidation of Situational Awareness hedge fund was a 'clearing event', removing a major forced seller from the market.
Lee also expressed optimism about moderating inflation, which he believes will reduce expectations for further Federal Reserve rate hikes over the coming months. If July's CPI report shows similar numbers to June and August is muted, Lee thinks the bond market won't be pricing in hikes.
In addition to his bullish view on stocks, Lee reiterated his forecast that the S&P 500 would rebound to around 7,800 before experiencing a roughly 10% pullback, then finish the year above 8,000. He also pointed to crypto as another constructive signal for risk assets, noting that Ethereum outperformed the Nasdaq by roughly 2,500 basis points in July.
