British holidaymakers can currently secure around €862 or almost $1,000 for £750 by shopping around for their travel money. The current rates make it worthwhile to compare different providers, as the top five euro deals are separated by less than €1 on a £750 purchase.

According to Exchange Rates UK Research, TravelFx and The Currency Club jointly offer the best euro travel money rate at 1.1492 EUR per pound, returning approximately €861.90 for £750. Best Foreign Exchange is only fractionally behind with a rate of 1.1488, returning €861.60.

The current rates show that online travel-money specialists are outperforming many major high-street banks. For example, The Post Office offers 1.1457, worth €859.28 for £750, while Tesco's rate returns €853.20. HSBC and First Direct sit at the bottom of the comparison with a rate of 1.1148, returning just €836.10.

The difference between the best and lowest rates available in our comparison is around €25.80 for a European holiday or $32 for a US trip. This represents a notable improvement for summer travellers compared with our December 2025 roundup, when the leading euro travel-money rate was 1.1307 and £750 bought around €848.
