Trigger Point Season Four Shocks Viewers with DCI Amar Batra's Death

Trigger Point season four premiered on ITV1 and ITVX with its most explosive episode yet. The first episode saw multiple bombs detonated across London, leaving viewers stunned. However, one shocking scene caught everyone's attention: DCI Amar Batra (Maanuv Thiara) being blasted by a bomb and seemingly left for dead.

Vicky McClure returned as Expo Lana Washington in the season opener, where she and her team faced their biggest threat yet. The episode saw the team tasked with diffusing a bomb on a lorry headed to the Bank of England, but unfortunately, they were unable to stop multiple other bombs from being detonated throughout London.

During their investigation, DCI Amar Batra opened a door that triggered a pressure-sensitive explosive release. The scene wrapped up with Helen (Natalie Simpson) looking over his body, not entirely shocked by the explosion. Unfortunately for fans, it seems Amar will not survive the blast.
