Trump Administration Seeks Removal of Fed Governor Lisa Cook
The Trump administration is moving forward with its efforts to remove Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook from her position, despite earlier court rulings that allowed her to remain in office while she contests allegations of mortgage fraud.
Cook has denied the allegations and is continuing to serve as a member of the Fed's Board of Governors.
The Supreme Court had previously intervened on her behalf, allowing her to keep her job two months ago. However, it appears that the Trump administration is now seeking to have Cook removed from office once again.
