In a session with reporters on Air Force One, Trump said, 'Kevin's fantastic, but he's got a board, and the board members are very political, I would say.' He added that Warsh wants to take the right action, implying that other Fed officials may be opposed to easing monetary policy.
Trump's comments come two days before the Federal Reserve is set to meet to discuss interest rates. The president has been pushing for lower interest rates, stating that he believes the US should have the lowest rates in the world.
