Trump Demands Lowest US Interest Rate, Slams Fed Chair Warsh

U.S. President Donald Trump called on the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates, stating that the country should have the lowest interest rate in the world.

Trump made this comment while aboard Air Force One, emphasizing that other countries are paying less in interest rates.

'Rates should be lowered,' Trump said. 'We have other countries that are paying less interest rates.'

He also criticized Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh, saying he is 'very political' and implying that the board members of the Fed are influenced by politics rather than economic data.
