US President Donald Trump has once again called on the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates. Speaking aboard Air Force One en route to Michigan, Trump emphasized that 'rates should be cut' and praised Fed Chair Kevin Warsh as 'fantastic'. He argued that other governors within the Fed are politically refusing to lower rates.

Trump predicted that if rates were cut, the US GDP growth rate could reach 8 to 12 percent. He claimed that there are countries with lower rates than the US, and they couldn't exist without the US economy. Trump also stated that he wants the US to have the lowest interest rates in the world, similar to what it had 30 years ago.

In his remarks, Trump criticized the Fed governors for being 'very political' and suggested that Warsh may face challenges getting them to agree on rate cuts. The President also made a comment about inflation, stating that he inherited high inflation from former President Joe Biden but that prices are now falling sharply.
