US President Donald Trump continues to pressure the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates. Speaking in an interview, he emphasized that 'partly' it depends on Kevin Warsh, the President of the Federal Reserve, but not entirely.

'It does not totally depend on him,' Trump said during his conversation with Punchbowl News. He added that Warsh is 'great,' and while he's not criticizing him directly, he pointed out that the Fed has a 'very politicized' board of directors.

Trump also expressed frustration that when good economic results are announced, interest rates do not decrease as they used to in the past. In his opinion, the US should have the lowest interest rate on the planet. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) recently decided to maintain interest rates at 3.50% to 3.75%, with three members leaning towards a quarter-point increase.
