Trump Slams Canada's Currency Imbalance with U.S.
U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his discontent over Canada's currency imbalance with the U.S., calling it 'unacceptable.'
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the Canadian dollar has been trading at an unfavorable rate for years, but now he wants things to change.
The loonie was trading at approximately $0.7229 US on Sunday, with fluctuations resulting from factors like supply and demand, foreign exchange markets, inflation, and interest rates.
This imbalance means that Americans have more spending power when purchasing Canadian products, although the last time the Canadian dollar was at par with the U.S. dollar was in January 2013.
