Trump made the comment in a series of posts on Sunday afternoon, claiming that the value of the Canadian dollar has been a problem for years but will no longer be tolerated.

The current exchange rate is approximately 72 U.S. cents per Canadian dollar, according to the Bank of Canada.

This criticism comes amid an ongoing trade war between the two countries, with Canada set to impose retaliatory tariffs on the U.S. on Tuesday.
