U.S. President Donald Trump is once again putting pressure on the Federal Reserve to cut its benchmark interest rate, saying that if it doesn't, the U.S. will stop trading with countries that have a trade deficit.

This warning was made by Trump during a recent announcement at the White House, where he stated that 'if we don't lower interest rates, we will stop trading with countries that are in the red.'

Trump also mentioned that the Supreme Court has acknowledged his power to take such extreme measures, implying that the Fed should be more mindful of its decisions.

The countries with a large trade deficit with the U.S. include the European Union, Mexico, and China, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. South Korea is ranked 10th in this list.
