Trump Urges Lowest Global Interest Rate Ahead of Fed Meeting

President Donald Trump expressed his opinion on interest rates ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting this week. Speaking at the Irish Open golf championship, he stated that the United States should have the lowest interest rate in the world.

When asked if he expected the Fed to hike rates on Wednesday, Trump replied, 'We should be paying the lowest interest rate in the world, regardless of their formulas.'

Trump also emphasized the country's strong credit rating, saying that the US has 'the best credit in the world. We make other countries rich. We can turn that off in two minutes.'
