Trump's Economic Boom Promise Continues to Fizzle

President Donald Trump has been touting an economic boom for over two years, but the latest jobs report has only added to his problems. The August numbers showed a surprise gain of 162,000 jobs, which should have been welcome news for Trump and his party just months before Election Day.

However, instead of celebrating, Trump launched into a grievance session about inflation and interest rates. He blamed the financial markets, the Federal Reserve, and U.S. trade partners for the country's economic woes.

Trump argued that success does not cause inflation, but 'stupidity' does. He claimed it was 'crazy' that the stock market fell on Friday due to inflation concerns.

The president has lost some of his credibility on the economy as promised growth has yet to materialize. His own policies have enabled, in part, the inflation and high interest rates he wishes to blame on others.
